Installation Documentation
Keeping the needs of your customers in mind, we recommend that your product includes two types of installation documentation:
- Quick Installation Sheet (or very short Quick Installation Guide) - depending on the unit or system, this can range from 1 to 15 pages. It should be as simple to follow as possible - the less training the installer requires to install your system, the better. A good Quick Installation Sheet can reduce installation costs, increase your customer support efficiency and improve your customers' experience and satisfaction.
- Installation Guide - these should include detailed installation instructions and sanity tests guidelines, along with known problem points and the corresponding troubleshooting procedures. The goal of installation guides is to guide through more complex procedures at higher levels of installations and to serve as reference for your customer support personnel.
